Now more than ever, the skill of collaboration is vital for workplaces, and classrooms are no exception. In times of stress, change and challenge (e.g. following disasters, school crisis, and navigating/living through a pandemic) it is likely that conflict will increase, and collaboration will be tested. For students in high school, collaboration and conflict resolution is an essential life skill and one that can help students be more prepared (and experience more success) in the workplace. In this interactive workshop, teachers will learn how to create a Collaborative Classroom, how to translate Charmaine's Working Better Together principles into action including: creating a Classroom Collaboration Agreement, the 5 essential skills and a Collaboration Road Map. Attendees will also receive a 5 step model to turn conflicts into conversations.
