Many Middle School Foods Classes have very limiting time constraints. It can be challenging for teachers to create meaningful culinary experiences when we struggle to have time to allow for proper cleaning and sanitization practices not counting the cooking experience. This session will review and demonstrate recipes and classroom practices that create foundational skills students can be completed in a 40 minute block. Recipes are tested and student approved and are easily replicated at home. An emphasis will be placed on budgetary considerations, extensions for longer class times and current limitations due to COVID 19.
