How are you today? Good. Do you have any questions? No. What do you notice? Nothing. What do you think about this? It’s cool. Does anyone have any ideas? No.
We have come to a point in our lives when the crown of human creativity, that of collaboration and connection, has been reduced to simple, surface answers that lead to simple, surface answers. A colleague and I spent all of last year exploring how students were not able to dialogue with each other. Not just talk, but engage in meaningful conversations. This was our focus for the year. What we realized we had to focus on was surprising. Come to share frustrations, hear stories, ask questions, to listen, and to end up in a place we never set out to find. We will never plan our year the same way again.
