Research has shown prenatal and childhood trauma can actually change the physiology of the brain and can lead to the creation of unique neural pathways. This can greatly affect the way children interact with the world around them. In this session you will learn exactly what trauma is and what kinds of behaviours it might lead to. You will leave with practical tools you can use immediately which help create new neuro pathways in the brain of the child and provide hope for positive change.

Teachers often face challenging behaviours in their students that bring chaos into the classroom and hamper learning, not only for the individual student, but often for the entire class. Many of the children who exhibit these behaviours have experienced trauma. When you understand the causes and have practical tools, you can become proactive rather than reactive in dealing with these behaviours and will see profound changes and provide hope for your students.

Through healthy relationships and connections we can change the trajectory of a child's life.
