Do you wonder about the best way to plan and deliver concept-based assessment? In this workshop, teachers will explore three fun, effective, and time-saving levels of concept-based assessment: cumulative unit-level tasks, performance of skills and competencies, and meaningful cross-curricular projects. Learn how to organize curriculum units around assessment tasks that will spark and sustain student interest, provide a clear record of learning, and most importantly, allow students to transfer their understanding of new concepts to the world around them. Participants will work together to brainstorm models for each level of assessment and leave the seminar with a collection of powerful and exciting assessment frameworks.
